As no two days caring for babies, toddlers and children are the same, I have described as closely as I can an example of our day. It is very flexible and varies depending upon the children being minded and what they would like to do (within reason!), along with the weather.
Early morning - 8.30am Arrivals, breakfast and independent play.
8.30 am School run and preschool runs (if needed).
9.30am - 11.30am Outing to park, messy play, toddler group or shops, or an activity appropriate to the season including seaside, painting, play-dough, creative play, cooking etc.
11.30am School/preschool pick-ups (if needed).
12.30pm - 1pm Lunch.
1pm - 3.00pm Quiet/relax time - naps for children who need them, reading aloud, including nursery rhymes, sensory play such as treasure baskets or out in the garden (weather permitting).
3.00pm - 4.00pm School pick-up (if needed).
4.00pm - 4.45pm Independent play indoors, or out in the garden (weather permitting).
